Southampton Village Neo-Traditional
When architect, designer, builder and home owner collaborate a singular vision, a renovation becomes a transformation. For this project,Tom O’Donoghue Associates worked with architect Martin Sosa of Arcologica and designer Steven Gambrel, to salvage a home that had been carved into apartments, recreating its turn-of-the-century grandeur. The 6,800 square foot single family home was completely reconfigured and constructed with custom finishes, detail and moldings, for a modern twist on a classic traditional.
Tom’s “yes-we-can” attitude, attention to detail, problem solving ability and eye for quality were essential elements in the successful renovation of our century-old home. During the year-long process, we met every weekend to review the progress and plan the week ahead. Without fail, we were delighted to see the work. Often, he surprised us with smart solutions to the unexpected challenges that inevitably come up when working on a historic house.
